ActionReward

How the roguelike to-do list works: The run resets. Your build doesn’t.

Every day is a fresh run from L1, and what you build carries over: Silver, Jokers, skill levels and your streak. Here are the rules.

Profile: the Novice character at LVL 12 on a 42-day streak, a loadout with 3 of 3 Joker slots filled and six Jokers owned, and the tip that Jokers fire left to right on every claim.

One day, one run.

Every action you tick is a claim, and every claim adds to today’s Chips × Mult; a Bonus or Gold action also multiplies the whole day’s Mult. Today’s XP is Chips × Mult, recomputed after each claim. One claim, step by step, is on the gamified to-do list page.

Your level is the square root of today’s XP, rounded down: L50 takes 2,500 XP, and the hard cap, L1000, takes a million. At the cap today’s XP stops growing; the app calls it “Maxed out — a Legend day.” At local midnight the run ends and the next one starts at L1. There’s no lifetime level and no prestige.

A geometric ladder. Legend is meant to be rare: a day for a built-up loadout.

Each rank is its own character, and the whole app recolours as you climb. The RPG habit tracker page shows how.

Silver, every morning.

In ActionReward, Silver comes once a day. The first time you open the app after local midnight, the next-morning recap turns yesterday’s run into Silver. The highest rank the run reached sets the base; everything else stacks on top.

Silver is earned only by playing and never sold. You spend it on Jokers and on Streak Freezes. What a day gives you now, tomorrow morning and for good: a to-do list that rewards you.

The next-morning recap: Day 41 complete, a peak of L83 (Adept) from 148 Chips × 47.5 Mult = 7K XP, and +14 Silver earned, 12 of it for reaching Adept.
Day 41 settles into +14 Silver. Reaching Adept alone is worth 12.

ActionReward Jokers: Build your loadout.

Jokers are perks you buy with Silver and keep for good: 12 of them, priced by group below. The shop’s stock is fixed, with nothing rotating and nothing random.

Level them up forever

Every Joker starts small and grows with each level. Each level costs twice the one before: 5 Silver, then 10, then 20, and so on. To level one up, tap it on Profile.

Unlock on a 30‑day streak

Slots open with your streak.

Your streak sets how many Jokers you can equip at once: one slot to start, two from a 5-day streak, three from 30. To equip a Joker, drag it into a free slot on Profile.

Jokers beyond your slots go inactive, never deleted, until the streak grows back. How the streak works.

  • 1 slot on a 0–4 day streak
  • 2 slots from 5 days
  • 3 slots from 30 days

Order matters.

On every claim your Jokers fire one at a time, left to right: after the action’s own Chips and +Mult, and before its Bonus (×1.25) or Gold (×2.25) multiplies the whole day’s Mult.

Today’s XP is Chips × Mult, so Mult you add before a multiplier gets multiplied too. Mirror Fool copies the Joker to its left, at Mirror Fool’s own level; in the first slot it has nothing to copy.

That’s the tip under your loadout: “Jokers fire left to right on every claim. Put +Mult jokers left of ×Mult jokers — and Mirror Fool right of the joker you want doubled.”

Dragon Hoard adds its Mult only on Gold claims, just before the Gold multiplies the whole day. That’s how it snowballs a Gold day.

  1. Ember Heart

    Steady Mult on every claim

  2. Glint Eye

    Compounds all day

  3. Mirror Fool

    Copies its left neighbour

One loadout in firing order: Ember Heart adds Mult, Glint Eye multiplies it, and Mirror Fool copies Glint Eye.

A missed day can reset the streak, unless a Streak Freeze covers it. What midnight does to an unfinished action is on the daily to-do list page.

Goals can also feed a run. Pick a time challenge when you create a goal, finish the whole plan before its deadline, and the goal’s claim multiplies that whole day by ×2, ×3 or ×5 (easy, medium, hard). The goal planner app page explains how.

Questions, answered.

Is it a real roguelike?

It borrows the run-and-build loop, not the dungeon. Every day is a fresh run with a hard cap, and what you build carries into the next one: Silver, Jokers and their levels, skill levels and the streak. A bad day costs you one run; it never takes your Silver, Jokers or skill levels.

How many Jokers are there?

Twelve: six Common at 20 Silver, four Uncommon at 120 and two Rare at 300, which you can buy once you’re on a 30-day streak. You can level up each one with Silver, forever.

Which Joker should I buy first?

A Common one, picked for your days. Steady Hand lifts small actions, Ember Heart adds steady Mult (strong on short days) and Glint Eye compounds over a long day. Later, Morning Star (Uncommon) powers up your first claim of the day. Tap any Joker in the app to see exactly what it does.

What is Energy for?

Card upgrades. Every action is a Standard, Bonus or Gold card, and you get 10 Energy a day (more with Premium), refilled at local midnight. In the app’s words: “Spend it on the Upgrade button when editing an action to try for a better card.” Each try costs 1 Energy, and a card never gets worse.

Is there a max level?

Yes: L1000 a day, a hard cap (“Maxed out — a Legend day”). There’s no prestige and no lifetime level. Your skill levels and your Jokers are what keep growing.

What does Premium change?

Every smart tool is included either way; Premium gives you 10× the weekly usage of the Weekly Coach, Smart Goals and AutoSkills, plus more Energy (so more card-upgrade tries) and two app icons. It never sells Silver, Jokers or run progress, and nothing random is ever sold. What Premium includes
